It's actually not too bad if you take SM out of the equation. Damn that SM Rosales!

A lot of good things, a lot of development is happening to Urdaneta (call centers, road widening, livelihood center, CB Mall, SP, etc..). All we need to do to maintain or even improve this pace of development is wait for 2010 & choose our leaders wisely. :)

Here are more photos of the Irrigation Bridge between Jollibee & 7-11. I must say, I'm satisfied that they're doing a speedy job this time around. :)

Thanks to Tracymack for all the updates. I felt like being back to Urdaneta despite the fact that I have been living for quite long time now in London. It's always nice to go back and see my roots. Although my children were all born in the UK, they will always be a part of being Urdanetans. Tracymack, have you got any pictures of Poblacion streets ie, Estrada St, Caviganan, Calle Garcia, Perez St, Sison, etc. or probably a snapshot of all the Barangays of Urdaneta? God bless and more power.

The pleasure is mine, llondoner.

It's good to know that you still identify yourself as well as your children as Urdanetans even after living in another country for quite some time.

Regarding the pictures you're asking, I may already have some of those in my hard drive. I just have to look for them. As for the pics that I may not have, I'll work on them when I have time to go home to Urdaneta.

By the way, that snapshot of each barangay thing you mentioned could be something. Thanks for the idea. :)

May nagbanggaan na naman. This time sa harap ng Panelco
Genesis ( or Partas?) bus bound for Manila at isang puting Kia Pride hatchback.

Unfinished road projects causing daily traffic jam
By FA SISON ALMAZAN

URDANETA CITY – Motorists have complained about the daily traffic jam caused by the delayed construction of the Manila North Road and the road-widening project here.

The motorists said that the implementation of the projects was started five years ago, but until now it has yet to be finished.

During rainy days, the Manila North Road is muddy, causing inconvenience to the residents as well people passing through this town.

The motorists wondered why up to the present, the DPWH has not yet completed the project. "What happened to the road user tax that we pay, why is it that the project is not yet finished,’’ a motorist.

A jeepney driver noted that the construction of a road from San Manuel, Tarlac to Tarlac City is now almost completed although this was started much later than the road project here.

The complaining motorists asked DPWH Secretary Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. to order the immediate completion of the long-delayed project that has caused untold sufferings to the residents here and the motoring public in the last five years.

It was learned that the road-widening project needs more funds. Officials here have appealed to Ebdane to take action aimed at fast-tracking the completion of the project.

"We have trust in the leadership of Secretary Ebdane, and we know he is a man of action, that’s why are confident that he will act immediately on our appeal," a city official said.
