A thread for new & existing book stores in our city. Good news! A new National Book Store (NBS) is set to open its doors to Urdanetans. NBS will be located at the first floor of CB Mall. Here's a pic I took this afternoon. Looks like NBS went for the right choice (Urdaneta) rather than the popular one (SM Rosales) in terms of location. Kudos NBS!

About time!
No need to travel to Dagupan, Baguio or Manila for quality books. As a book lover, I am really looking forward to this.
There is also a Rex Bookstore in Pinmaludpud - I may be mistaken about the brgy. Hardly noticeable but it is there. Why they chose such a remote place from downtown, only they know.

yeah that's cool but, sad to say the cb mall will no longer be its name. it was said that robinsons will buy the entire mall. and d takeover will be in middle of November.. management of cb said October 29 that they were bankrupt.

Hello roonjea89, Welcome to UCO! Is that confirmed? Here's what I know or at least what I've heard: Robinsons & Uniwide we're bidding for the 1st floor (supermarket, I presume) of CB Mall and that Uniwide won the bidding process. The Supermarket portion of CB is called "Super 8" and if you look at the scan of their pamphlet below, Super 8's branches are mostly inside Uniwide locations. With this, we can say that the rumor that Uniwide won the bidding is somewhat confirmed. As for the mall takeover, I hope it would be Robinsons & not Uniwide. Why? Because Robinsons is a bigger name & Uniwide malls aren't as successful. Coastal Mall is a good example of an unsuccessful mall of theirs.
